[Family Promise] – More than a dozen salons in Santa Clarita have joined with Family Promise of SCV for a month-long fundraiser during May 2015 to help support homeless families in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Called “Santa Clarita Salons for Family Promise of SCV,” the fundraiser provides an opportunity for participating salon clients to donate to Family Promise during May, 2015. The salons will provide their clients with information about what Family Promise does to help homeless children and families in Santa Clarita, as well as offer a handy bookmark for clients to learn more about the organization.
“We’re very excited about the campaign and look forward to both educating our clients about Family Promise of SCV and garnering support for this worthwhile organization,” said Tiffany Friedman, owner of N’Style Salon.
“Even in beautiful Santa Clarita, there are homeless children and families. Our mission as a local non-profit organization is to work with the community, including local congregations, to help families out of homelessness,” explains Laurie Ender, Family Promise of SCV President.
Participating Santa Clarita salons for 2015 include: N’Style, Tranquility, Casa Bella, Finailly Nail Salon, Parks Salon, Salon Q, Entourage, Salon Zen, Parks Salon and Margarita & Co. Salon.
Family Promise of SCV opened its doors in 2011, offering help to homeless families. Services include a day center, transportation, social service referrals and temporary overnight housing through local congregations. For more information about Family Promise SCV, visit www.FamilyPromiseSCV.org.

Good! Family Promise is not nearly as well known as the winter shelter however this organization has aided a sizeable number of families back into permanent housing. Thanks to the salons who are helping raise awareness of this program among their clients.
