Funny how the whole tree-sitting became a national story about the tree and not the Newhall Ranch development.
“Old Glory” is not 400 years old. If you stand on a step ladder you can count the annual rings on one of the lower branches which was removed. If I remember correctly I counted 143 rings at the time.
I commend John Mott and Senna Tree Tree Company for the preservation of this nice specimen.
So what’s the address??? Not everybody in town today knows where Old Glory stands!!! It would be better if most of your news stories covered WHO, WHAT, WHEN, and WHERE!! Isn’t that reporting anymore? WHY might even be added to some things!!!
This isn’t a news story. As indicated, it’s a press release from SCOPE.
