Join us for 10 by 10, the FREE monthly variety show in Old Town Newhall. 10 by 10 features music, film, storytelling, magic, comedy and more! It occurs on the first Thursday of every month when ten performers, from a variety of genres, are selected to perform a 10-minute piece of their choosing. Every month is different; you never know what you will see on stage!

Performing in June:

Storytelling with Jessica Lee Williamson

Jessica Lee Williamson is a multiple Moth StorySlam and GrandSlam winner, and touring member of The Moth MainStage. Her her stories have been featured on Moth Radio Hour and she is a regular contributor to KCRW’s UnFictional.

Comedy with Glenn Bolton

Glenn Bolton is a regular cast member on “The Internet’s Worst Late Night Talk Show” Kauf Drops w/ Dustin Kaufman. He also performs regularly at the Kansas City Improv and has showcased at “The World Series of Comedy” in Las Vegas, NV.

Live Theatre: The People’s Cookie

The ghosts of painters Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera confront a hipster for exploiting her image to sell “Frida Kahlo Cookies.”

Jackie Collins is an actress, singer and comedian with appearances at Riot Girl Comedy Festival and The Hollywood Improv.

Fayleen began performing acoustically and writing her own music, but transitioned to electric guitar, which is where her musical direction really took aim.

Magic with Liam Johnson Johnson

Liam has been a magician for a few years and also dabbles as an actor, musician, and filmmaker. He is a student at Los Angeles County High School for the Arts.

Music by The New Mexican

Our house band, The New Mexican, plays many instruments and can be considered a one-man band that plays a blend of Americana, folk, and roots music.

Dance to the beat, play an instrument, and experience something unexpected with JAM Sessions, fun, interactive music and dance events hosted in conjunction with the Ford Theatre Foundation. The evening integrates live dance instruction from professional instructors with live band performances.

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and bring a chair if you just plan on listening to the music. JAM Sessions are participatory and centered around movement and music. All JAMs are FREE, and all ages and skill levels are welcome.

This month’s theme is African Dance & Drums.

Celebrate the rhythms of West Africa! At this energetic JAM led by Yeko Ladzekpo-Cole, you’ll explore the drumming, dancing and singing traditions of the Ewe and Dagomba people of Ghana. Live music from ADAAWE, who is comprised of seven scintillating women that create an international fusion of African music, R&B/pop vocals, jazz-funk, Latin and Reggae, steeped in Gospel harmonies.

Comedy MashUp is exactly what it is! A night of Stand Up and Improv Comedy mashed up into one hilarious show. This month we have headliner Michael Rosenbaum! You may recognize Michael from his work as Lex Luthor in the hit show Smallville and as the voice of the DC Superhero The Flash. You may have recently seen him in his hit TV Land series, Impastor and in the new Marvel feature film Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 2! This will be a show you won’t want to miss!!

Suggested audience is 18+

Tickets are $10 online through June 1, and $15 online and at the door on June 2. Doors open 30 minutes prior to show time. Beer and wine will be available for purchase at the bar. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
