The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has unveiled a new video series that offers customers helpful information through short, easy to understand segments. The “Ask DMV” series answers a variety of commonly asked questions, such as how to change your address, find a traffic violator school, and notify the DMV when you buy or sell a vehicle.
The “Ask DMV” series incorporates simple, colorful graphics intended to compliment the information to make it more memorable. Each segment also runs an average of one minute in length and is completely produced in-house using existing DMV resources. The segments appear on the DMV’s Facebook and Twitter pages and are available for viewing any time on the DMV YouTube Channel.
“We have a talented team of employees who are constantly searching for new and innovative ways to improve the customer experience,” said DMV Director Jean Shiomoto. “Our goal is that these short and entertaining videos will provide useful information that will make it easier for our customers to conduct business with us. This is another step in our effort to provide superior customer service.”
This video series is based on a former popular column, by the same name, which the DMV made available to various publications between 2010 and 2015. It is intended to deliver the same type of information in a refreshed manner that will reach an audience that does not get its information from traditional media avenues.
