1887 - Prohibitionist Henry Needham purchases land in Newhall, attempts to establish "dry" colony [story]
H.C. Needham

nsdlogo2_2014[Newhall School District] – Last week, we sent out charts showing 2015 CAASPP results for the SCV’s elementary districts as well as for two charter schools.  The results for one charter school, Albert Einstein Academy for Arts, Letters and Sciences (AEALS) were the results for a school that is located in Acton-Agua Dulce.  These were not the results for a school by the same name that is chartered by the Acton-Agua Dulce Unified School District but located in Valencia.

The error occurred because, at the California Department of Education/CASSPP results website, the AAUSD school is listed as “Albert Einstein Academy of Letters, Art School.”  The Valencia AEALS is listed as “Albert Einstein Academy Elementary School.”  We thought the former, because of the name, was the Valencia site.  We were in error.  Attached is an updated chart that includes results for AEALS (Valencia) that is named Albert Einstein Academy Elementary School on the CDE website.

Please remember that we included results for the valley’s four K-6 districts and results for two single school sites.  District results have not changed.  Newhall is at the top in every grade for every subject (English-language arts, mathematics, science).

We continue doing our best to be the best.

Someone should proofread these NSD press releases; the SCV Einstein Academy is still listed as “Acton-Agua USD”. Newhall School District seems to have a bragging fetish, “Newhall is at the top in every grade for every subject” To set the record straight (according to these tables) Albert Einstein Academy actually exceeds NSD at nearly all grade levels in math and in science scores.

  2. Solmaz Hakeem the twins are in a great school district!
