There will soon be more parking at the Valencia Library. The City of Santa Clarita will host a ribbon cutting event on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m. to celebrate the completion of the Valencia Library Parking Lot Expansion project on the northeast corner of Valencia Boulevard and Magic Mountain Parkway.
The expansion project kicked off this summer, adding an additional 27 spaces to help ease parking congestion, while other improvements, such as new lighting, irrigation, landscaping enhancements, and an art installation, will enhance the visual appeal of the heavily used lot.
The Valencia Library Parking Lot Expansion project is part of the City of Santa Clarita’s ongoing commitment to balance new projects in the City with improvement projects at existing facilities to support a high quality of life for residents and visitors.
“This expansion is a great example of the City’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and enhancing our existing infrastructure to meet the growing needs of the community,” commented Mayor Bob Kellar. “We know the Valencia Library parking lot is heavily used, as the branch and other facilities in the area attract thousands each week so the additional spaces will enhance accessibility conditions for residents and visitors.”
