The next meeting of the California High-Speed Rail Authority’s Board of Directors is set for Thursday, Nov. 15, starting at 10 a.m.
The meeting will take place in the Grand Ballroom at the Holiday Inn Burbank-Media Center, 150 E. Angeleno Ave., Burbank 91502.
Among other agenda items, board members will consider concurring with Staff Recommended State Preferred Alternatives for three Southern California Project Sections, the first of particular interest to Santa Clarita Valley residents:
* Palmdale to Burbank
* Burbank to Los Angeles
* Los Angeles to Anaheim
Board concurrence does not represent final approval of alignments and/or station locations. However, this action demonstrates progress by moving the environmental review process forward and toward the selection of alignments and station locations, which will improve program readiness by making the sections “shovel ready” for when funding becomes available.
There will be a public comment period following the board’s discussion of the three project sections.

The next meeting of the California High-Speed Rail Authority’s Finance and Audit Committee will precede the Board of Directors meeting from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. the same day in the Executive Conference Room at the Holiday Inn Burbank-Media Center.
