The 2019 West Ranch High School girls’ volleyball team will host its annual “Claw Out Cancer” match and fundraising event at the school’s gym on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, beginning at 3 p.m.
The event will raise funds for the girls’ volleyball program and for Circle of Hope Inc., the Santa Clarita-based 501(c)(3) non-profit charity whose mission is to provide emotional, educational and financial assistance along with supportive wellness therapies to the Santa Clarita Valley cancer community.
As part of their fundraising effort, the West Ranch student-athletes will sell “Claw Out Cancer” t-shirts, host an online auction, and accept direct donations.
The online auction will be open to the public and include valuable donated prizes including premier tickets to the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Lakers, restaurant gift cards, specialty service gift certificates, and unique, one-of-a-kind experiences.
The link to the online auction can be found here: https://westranchvolleyball.com/auctions/.
As part of the festivities, the Valencia Vikings volleyball team will visit West Ranch in one of the most highly anticipated volleyball matches of the Foothill League season.
The freshmen teams will play at 4 p.m., followed by junior varsity at 4:15 p.m., and varsity at 5:30 p.m.
Admission to the matches will be free.
Food and beverages will be available, and all proceeds from the sale of refreshments will benefit the program.
Proceeds collected from the auction, donations and t-shirt sales will be evenly split between the 2019 West Ranch girls’ volleyball program and Circle of Hope.
The West Ranch High School Gymnasium is located at 26255 Valencia Blvd, Santa Clarita 91381.
