Rainbow Glen Drive from Soledad Canyon Road to Golden Triangle Road in Canyon Country will be under construction for resurfacing from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. the night of Monday, October 2 to the early morning of Tuesday, October 3.
In one night, this area will be scraped and repaved to avoid interruption to daytime traffic. This process extends the life of the road and provides a smoother surface.
Please note the railroad crossing on Rainbow Glen Drive will be closed to all traffic after 7 p.m. on Monday and detours will be in place.
Residents are encouraged to plan ahead or use alternative routes during construction. The noise level of the work will be closely monitored throughout the night by the project foreman, to ensure that it does not exceed the allowable level.
The city spends approximately $9.5 million a year on its annual slurry seal and overlay road preservation project to improve city roadways and extend their life. Without annual rehabilitation of city streets, maintenance would be unmanageable. Residents’ patience and cooperation during construction is appreciated.
