The Alzheimer’s Association California Southland Chapter’s 2016 Santa Clarita Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held at Bridgeport Park at 23520 Bridgeport Lane in Valencia on Saturday, Oct. 8.

“Day Of” registration begins at 7:30am. The festivities start at 8:00am and the walk begins at 10:00am. Online registration is now open at act.alz.org/SCV.

There will be entertainment, snacks, a Kid Zone and information/exhibitor booths. Walkers and their families are encouraged to attend this fun and informative event.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the largest event to raise awareness and funds for support, care and research.  Over 5 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer’s and the cost of caring for patients in the U.S. will be over $226 billion in 2016.

Several local businesses have signed on as Walk Sponsors including L.O.V.E Weight Loss, Galpin Santa Clarita, Pacifica Senior Living, Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, Nola Aronson’s Advanced Audiology, Oakmont of Santa Clarita Assisted Living & Memory Care and Heritage Sierra Medical Group.
