The City of Santa Clarita will host two public outreach meetings to share information and gather feedback about the Via Princessa East Extension Project on Sept. 6 and Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. at City Hall in the Century Room, located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard.
The Via Princessa East Extension project is approximately 1.2 miles in length and extends from Rainbow Glen Drive in the east to Golden Valley Road in the west. The proposed roadway is designated as a Major Arterial Highway in the City of Santa Clarita’s Master Plan of Arterial Highways and will include six-lanes, a raised landscaped median, sidewalks, and a separate bike path.
A draft environmental impact report of the proposed roadway extension is now available for review through October 15, 2012. Following the public review period, the report will be presented to the City Council for certification at a later date. The draft environmental impact report is available for viewing at the City Hall Permit Center, the Valencia and Canyon Country library branches, and online at santa-clarita.com.
