Tuesday, Feb. 25 is your last chance to join the first session (Feb. 26) of the OurCounty Workshop series. Register now to help inform the OurCounty Update and discuss critical issues for our region from green space to air quality to transportation and more.
As we look towards rebuilding from the recent fire devastation, it is more important than ever to consider what a more sustainable and resilient LA County should look like. The Chief Sustainability Office is working on updating the OurCounty Sustainability Plan, which was first released in 2019. The Plan serves as a long-range strategy to build a healthier, more equitable, resilient, and economically strong region where everyone thrives, and your input is needed on the 2025 update.
This spring there will be a two-part workshop series split up into three topics. The first round of workshops will take stock of where things are today and the planning efforts that have taken place to-date. The focus will be on progress made and challenges that remain to be grappled with in the years ahead. In the second round of workshops, the focus will be more on strategies to rise to those challenges and consider cross-cutting themes such as environmental justice and equity, climate resilience and the green economy.
You are invited to participate in one or all of the upcoming workshops. Choose the topic(s) that interest you most. Pre-read materials to inform the discussion will be sent following registration.

These workshops are an essential opportunity to engage with the process and ensure that the final update reflects the needs of our region. We hope you’ll be able to join us for these important conversations.
