Amin Salari
Lundgren Management announced the promotion Thursday of Amin Salari to Vice President of Operations for its work throughout California.
Salari has been a senior project manager with Lundgren since 2013 and has nearly 20 years of construction and program management experience. In his new position, he will direct the company’s construction management and construction operations through all phases of work. His experience includes budgeting and financial controls, scheduling, total quality management and human resources planning. He has worked on a variety of federal, public, municipal, K-12 and higher education projects and has successfully delivered projects utilizing alternative delivery methods.
“In looking for someone to oversee operations, we needed a person with rich construction experience in addition to being a good fit for our corporate culture that values excellence and team-building,” company President Dale Lundgren said. “Fortunately, we didn’t have to go very far. Amin has been an asset to Lundgren since joining us, and he will be a vital part of our leadership team as we continue to grow.”
Lundgren is a leader in educational-related construction projects throughout Southern California.
In his time with Lundgren, Salari has been the point person for a number of projects, including the Newhall School District’s Measure E construction and modernization program, the recently-awarded Phase-1 classroom buildings project for the State Overcrowded Relief Grant (ORG) program for the Glendale Unified School District and the master plan development for the Palmdale School District’s Measure DD local facilities construction bond program.
He is a board member for the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) Southern California Chapter. As a member of this board, he currently serves as the Director of Construction Managers in Training (CMIT) and emerging leaders committee. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial management from the University of Tabatabaie in Iran, and a master’s degree in industrial management from Azad University in Iran.
Salari also has extensive experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building standards. He managed the LEED gold-level certification for the 190,000-square-foot Flight Projects Center and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the space agency’s “greenest” facility to date.
“Amin brings the full package to the table,” said Shawn Fonder, vice president of program and client services. “He is well-versed in multiple facets of the construction industry as well as sustainable design, an important factor in many of our construction projects. He has been an excellent fit for the company and in his new role he will be well-equipped to help us continue our tradition of excellence.”
