City of Santa Clarita officials will be hosting a Community Blood Drive to support the American Red Cross this December.

The drive will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015 from 9:15 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. in the Century Room at City Hall, located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard.

According to the American Red Cross, one blood donation can help save up to three lives. There is always a need for blood in the community and nationwide. National statistics from the American Red Cross show someone needs a unit of blood every two to three seconds.

Residents interested in signing up to donate blood at the Community Blood Drive should click here and use sponsor code cityofsantaclarita when signing up.

On donation day, participants should go directly to the Century Room on the first floor where they will be greeted and evaluated to ensure they are eligible to donate.

All participants must have a valid ID to donate.

All Community Blood Drive donors will receive two tickets to the Laugh Factory, two tickets to the Grammy Museum and discounted vouchers for L.A. Kings or Anaheim Ducks hockey games.
