Check It OUT-Side!
Every Tuesday through July 22, the library team visit a different park across Santa Clarita, bringing stories, songs and playtime to kids. From West Creek to Newhall Park, each Check It OUT-Side stop offers fun in the sun and the chance to explore and check out new books right from the Library Express. Don’t forget your library card if you’d like to check out books.
Next-Level Summer for Teens
Looking for ways to keep your teen active and inspired this summer? The Library has you covered with creative, hands-on programs happening across all three branches. If they’re into storytelling and strategy, the Valencia Branch offers Dungeons and Dragons sessions built for new adventurers. For something more active, teens can stop by the Old Town Newhall Branch to try SNAG Golf, no experience needed. And for those who love to get crafty, the Canyon Country Jo Anne Darcy Branch is hosting a puzzle design workshop. Every program is free and materials are always provided.
Adult Programs Craft Your Summer, Your Way
At the Old Town Newhall Branch, join DIY Sports Collar for Dogs and design a custom collar so your pup can rep your favorite sports team in style. Over at the Valencia Branch, take part in Retro Etched Players Pints and etch classic gaming icons such as Mario, Zelda and Donkey Kong, onto your own pint glass. Then head to the Canyon Country Jo Anne Darcy Branch for Mosaic Coasters, where you’ll craft a design as colorful and unique as you are. Don’t forget to snap a photo and tag us.
Library Express at the Parks
Have you had a chance to see our new Library Express in action yet? Every second and fourth Friday of the month, we’ll visit different parks with books, crafts and more! Be sure to bring your library card in order to be able to check items out on site. Don’t have a library card yet? No worries! We can create one for you with a valid ID.
