Hart Baseball hosted their first Bingo Night at the Boys and Girls Club on Saturday, generating thousands of dollars for the Hart Baseball program.
Hosted by the Santa Clarita Boys and Girls Club, “the first annual Bingo Night was a successful evening of entertainment for the nearly 200 attendees from the Santa Clarita Valley community,” Hart Head Baseball Coach Jim Ozella said. “The Hart Dugout Club applauds the efforts of the Santa Clarita Valley City Council, the Santa Clarita Boys and Girls club, and the Hart Baseball parents and supporters in making the evening a success,” said Ozella.
The event generated over $8,000 in revenue for the Hart Baseball program.
“We are thrilled to have such a great turnout our first year,” Bingo Night chairman John Dow said. “We really wanted to reach out and connect with the community. People really seemed to be having a good time. We’re already talking about how to make the event bigger and better for next year.”
The event would not have been possible without the support of the Boys and Girls club, Dow continued.
The Club has had a long term working relationship with the William S. Hart High School District, said SCV Boys and Girls Club CEO, David Menchaca. We have teamed up on many projects including the building of our Sierra Vista Club location on the campus of Sierra Vista Jr, High school. We were happy to support the Hart Baseball program as a number of their players have come through our Club program.
