Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies out to lunch at a local fast-food restaurant recognized and arrested a 29-year-old man with two outstanding warrants Tuesday, according to officials.

“Deputies notice everything.
“Yesterday, around 1 p.m., deputies stopped at a fast food restaurant on Sierra Highway in Canyon Country. While they were inside, one of the deputies recognized a male adult as being a ‘wanted person’ due to a no-bail felony warrant in the system.
“They made contact with him and discovered he had another $75K warrant for his arrest in the system.
“The 29-year-old male, a transient, was arrested on the two warrants along with additional charges — possession of methamphetamine and heroin.
“He was transported and booked at SCV Sheriff’s Station jail.”

It is a good thing for this guy he was arrested. He needed to be out of the rain and he needed to get off drugs before he killed himself. Meth to stay awake and Heroin to come down is a lot of what is killing the young people in SCV. I hope he is willing to go into treatment and we can get him to a life in rehab for at least 1-3 months followed by 6 months to a year of sober living house. That is the minimum that they need to have a chance to get free from these drugs.
