Juan Carlos Quevedo, 31, of Moreno Valley and Miguel Flores, 26, of Riverside were arrested by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies on charges of grand theft auto and kidnapping after a traffic stop near Gorman on Wednesday.
Here’s the story from the station’s social media:
“On Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, a deputy from the Highway Interdiction Team located a stolen vehicle traveling on the Interstate 5 Highway. The deputy conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and detained the four occupants pending a stolen vehicle investigation.
“Through the deputy’s investigation, he found the driver and front passenger of the vehicle did not have permission to possess or to drive the indicated vehicle. The deputy also found the two back passengers of the vehicle were being transported to somewhere in central California pending payment for their passage.
“The driver and front passenger were arrested for Grand Theft: Auto as well as Kidnapping for Ransom. Both are being held on over a million dollars in lieu of bail.”
