Detectives from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station arrested a man in Oakland suspected of robbing a business in Castaic on Oct. 5, according to station authorities.
Here’s the story from the station’s social media:
“‘You can run, but you can’t hide.’ Because we will find you, even if it means we have to drive up to Oakland to pick you up.
“Last Friday, October 5, a robbery occurred at a Castaic business. An adult male, accompanied by an adult female, threatened employees and then reached over the counter, grabbing cash out of the register.
“They got away, or at least they thought they got away. But, deputies were able to obtain a vehicle description and license plate number.
“We shared the information with our law enforcement agency partners…Oakland Police Department officers spotted the vehicle, detained the occupants, and notified us.
“Our detectives were more than obliged to drive to the Alameda County Jail and pick them up, which they did. The couple was arrested on robbery charges and booked into our jail.”
