It’s a swinger’s delight on Saturday night as the Canyon High School band hosts the “Boogie Woogie Bugle Ball.” The ‘40s-themed bash at the Canyon Country school’s gym is a fundraiser for the Canyon band. It includes a live jazz combo, swing dance lessons and dinner. Advance tickets are $20 by emailing gsb.reserve@gmail.com. At the door Saturday, tickets are $25, or $20 for senior citizens. The fun starts at 5:30 p.m. and boogies ‘till 8:30 p.m.
At 8 p.m. Saturday night, the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center presents “An Acoustic Evening with Lonestar.” It’s a special unplugged performance by the four good ol’ boys from Texas. The band’s known for a bunch of #1 country hits, including “Smile,” “Tell Her” and “What About Now.” Tickets for Lonestar at the PAC are $65 to $85.
