The SCV Sheriff’s Station is again asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted in connection with an assault that took place Oct. 5 on a Santa Clarita city bus.
Deputies described the assault as “particularly violent.”

Deputies are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect who assaulted a passenger on a Santa Clarita Transit bus Oct. 5.
At approximately 7:45 p.m., while the bus was at the Transit Center in Valencia, a man identified as Bernhardt Darko attacked a man in his 60s, causing multiple injuries to the victim’s head and face.
Darko is a 28-year-old male from Valencia, 5 feet 8 inches in height, weighing between 150-170 pounds, with black hair. He is believed to frequent the areas of Newhall Ranch Road and McBean Parkway. It is unknown where he lives at this time.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Bernhardt Darko is urged to contact the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at 661-255-1121. Do not approach or attempt to apprehend him.
