The next free “Safe Shred” and electronic waste collection event is set to be hosted Saturday by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and city of Santa Clarita officials.
The public will have the opportunity to dispose of sensitive documents or electronic devices in a safe, secure manner.
Documents are limited to five boxes (11” x 12” x 15”) per vehicle and must be removed from binders and document protectors prior to drop-off.
Additionally, residents can bring any kind of electronic device, such as computer hard drives, monitors or anything else that plugs into a standard home outlet, for recycling.
Large appliances, engines, batteries, light bulbs and household hazardous waste will not be accepted.
The “Safe and Secure Collection Event” is set for Saturday, Nov. 7 from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Westfield Valencia Town Center Mall parking lot on the corner of Citrus Street and Magic Mountain Parkway.
