The Santa Clarita Valley International Charter School, a tuition free public charter school serving grades K-12, is pleased to announce this year’s honoree at the its annual Vision in Education benefit dinner on Saturday, March 21, 2015. Dale Donohoe has been a strong supporter of families and education in the Santa Clarita Valley for years.
SCVi is thrilled to honor Dale Donohoe for his direct involvement with the school. When SCVi first moved to its current location just over 6 years ago it became clear that Dale was going to be more than a landlord. He listened to what the school leaders at SCVi aimed to accomplish and he helped them find solutions that weren’t a compromise of the school’s values. As the school grew, Mr. Donohoe was there to help SCVi expand in both additional space and a maximization of current space. We look forward to continuing to partner with him and Intertex on future projects (Lancaster, etc.) because they embody our core value of collaboration so well.
Dale and his wife Tamara both graduated from Canyon High School in 1980 and were married nearly 30 years ago. Together they have raised four children in the Santa Clarita Valley. Mr. Donohoe feels it is important to give back to the community and has supported families and youth locally by his direct involvement with many non-profit organizations in Santa Clarita. Most recently serving on the board at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital and The Child and Family Center. Mr. Donohoe is very active member of his congregation, Church of the Canyons, and has previously served on the boards of both The Santa Clarita Boys and Girls Club and The American Heart Association.
