The Santa Clarita Valley Service Center has moved from its previous location in Newhall to a new location in the Santa Clarita Plaza, and will host a grand opening celebration Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The new location at 26111 Bouquet Canyon Road, Santa Clarita 91350 has twice the space as the previous location and includes a main reception lobby, staff work area, multi-purpose room, kitchen, and pantry storage area.
It also includes a public access computer lab, administrative offices, children’s library, conference room, spacious areas for classes.
The center will also host an office for L.A. County Military & Veterans Affairs.
The grand opening celebration and resource fair will feature exhibitors offering information on health services, aging services, emergency preparedness, veteran services, social services, and library services.
Dignitaries slated to attend and speak at the grand opening are Scott Wilk, State Senator; Cynthia D. Banks, Director of L.A. County Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services; Rosalind Wayman, Senior Deputy to 5th District Supervisor Kathryn Barger; Cindy Cole-Robles, Center Director of Santa Clarita Valley Service Center, and Chris Duarte, Los Angeles County Military & Veterans Affairs.
