The Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center’s 2018 Celebrity Waiter fundraiser is set for March 3, and sponsorship packages and tickets are now available.

Event Co-Chairs Tony Watson and Kelly Smudde sent out the following note to the community with the details:

Thanks to amazing sponsors like you, last year’s Celebrity Waiter event was one of the best yet. We raised a record-breaking amount of funds for the SCV Senior Center and, with the incredible success of Fund-a-Need, new dining room furniture for our new building.

We will hold the next annual Celebrity Waiter Dinner: Spies Like Us: A Mission to Remember! on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at the Sand Canyon Country Club.

This event is a great opportunity for you and your guests to have a night out on the town and enjoy some great music, while also supporting the important programs and services of the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center.

Your support of this event is essential to the implementation of the SCV Senior Center mission: promoting quality of life for seniors.

Last year alone, the SCV Senior Center:

* Served more than 50,000 meals to seniors on-site and 65,000 meals to homebound seniors
* Provided more than 45,000 discounted bus fares and emergency taxi rides to seniors who would otherwise be alone and isolated from friends and services in our community
* Hosted recreational, educational and support group activities for more than 45,000 people
* Completed more than 300 home rehabilitation jobs as part of the Handyworker program

Your participation will help ensure that vital services, such as these, will continue for the growing number of seniors in the Santa Clarita Valley.
