Stay Green Inc. strives to provide an exciting work environment for its employees, and at the company’s recent employee celebration, the Southern California landscape industry leader brought the thrills to a new level.
“Our partnership with Six Flags Magic Mountain gave us a tremendous opportunity to provide our employees and their families with a truly exciting and special day,” said Stay Green CEO Chris Angelo. “We believe it’s important, especially as a family-owned company, to celebrate our employees and let them and their families know how much we appreciate them.”
More than 1,100 employees and family members participated in the celebration at Magic Mountain, whose 18 roller coasters rank it No. 1 for having the most coasters of any theme park.
“There’s no better place for our employees to be able to let their hair down and have a good time,” Angelo said.
The employees’ day at the Valencia theme park included food, drinks, a disc jockey, games and free admission to Magic Mountain.
All employees received a ticket to return for Magic Mountain’s Winter Wonderland in December, and an option to purchase an annual pass for the discounted price of $20.
The employees’ families also had the chance to see firsthand the results of their loved ones’ excellent work.
“We’re very proud of the role our team plays in keeping the landscaping at Magic Mountain healthy and beautiful. It’s an important part of the environment Magic Mountain creates for its guests,” Angelo said. “Magic Mountain is an amazing partner and they really pulled out all the stops to provide our team members and their families with a fun and exciting day.”
Stay Green mechanic Roberto Cisneros attended the event at Magic Mountain with his family, and he said his son and daughter both had an amazing time at the celebration and on the theme park’s many rides, too.
“The kids had a blast,” Cisneros said. “It was great to have such a fun and stress-free day with our co-workers and family members.”
The event also included special salutes to long-term employees, some of whom have been with the company as long as 25 years.
The family-owned Stay Green headquarters are in Santa Clarita, and its more than 300 employees serve clients throughout Southern California including Kern County, Santa Barbara County, Ventura County, Los Angeles County, San Bernardino County, Orange County, Riverside County and San Diego County.
Six Flags Magic Mountain is among Stay Green’s high-profile clients, and company officials said that, in addition to Magic Mountain, several other Stay Green partners assisted in making the employee appreciation event possible.
They included Ewing Irrigation, Lockton, Alaska National, Nationwide, Enterprise, Bishop, Aspire, Republic, Target Special Products, Dubbs Technology, Village Nursery, ISS Imperial Sprinkler Supply, Greenlee Tempo, Rain Bird, Hunter, RDO Vermeer, Stern Kory Sreden & Morgan, Poole & Shaffery, and Mellady Direct Marketing.
Angelo added that these and other partnerships, coupled with the efforts of Stay Green’s dedicated team members, are key ingredients in the company’s success.
