Presentation Given to Sponsor
Dan Sterkel

Dan Sterkel

May 2nd was a special night for the Storm not only because their fans and other sponsors provided needed items for Kare Kits for the Michael Hoefflin Foundation. But also because the Storm presented as a sign of appreciation a replica team jersey to the Executive Manager of Nissan of Valencia Daniel Sterkel. Nissan of Valencia’s sponsorship dollars provided all the game uniforms and training gear worn by the Storm.
The Sponsors name is worn proudly across the chest of the teams home and away jerseys, as well and their training jerseys. It is local business like Nissan of Valencia who give generously to help programs like this continue so they may  help local young talent to the professional ranks of US Soccer Federation.

Alex Harlley and Miguel Ibarra Face each other
Two Storm players face each other in the NASL. Miguel Ibarra who played with the Storm Since the early days in the Antelope Valley 2008 and now in his third year with the Minnesota United and enjoying a tremendous professional career .
Alex Harlley this last March was signed by Eric Wynalda  of the Atlanta Silverbacks  also part of the North American Soccer League.

. Game Recap:

Despite the Silverbacks’ pressure, Minnesota United would find a second goal through Ramirez. A high cross was sent to the far post, and a relatively unmarked Ramirez was there to nod the ball in. Defending set pieces have been a problem for the Silverbacks this season, and it reared its ugly head again, as the visitors went up 2-0 in the 72nd minute.
There was still time for the Silverbacks to climb back, and they started to do exactly that in the 85th minute. Substitute midfielder Alex Harlley found the feet of Poku, who absolutely buried a shot past a diving Hildebrandt to make it 2-1. Midfielder Junior Sandoval nearly equalized two minutes later, but his half-volley flew just over the crossbar, much to the dismay of the loud home supporters.
