bowwows1[KHTS] – The 14th annual Bow Wows & Meows event will be held Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at William S. Hart Park in Newhall.

More than 200 wonderful dogs, cats, puppies and kittens will be available for adoption, according to event organizers.

“There will be awesome entertainment from the renowned Extreme Canines Stunt Dog Show, as seen on Animal Planet, Oprah, The Tonight Show, Ellen and many more, at 11:30 and 2:30 p.m,” officials said.

The event’s famously fun dog show, with categories ranging from best vocalist, mystery mutt to pet owner look alike will be at 1:30 p.m. Winners receive a $50 pet supply gift card, personalized ID tags, and children’s bracelets.

There is a $10 registration at the event for the contest.

bowwows2The event on Sunday also offers a delicious array of food, including vegetarian, vegan & pescatarian options. This year there will also be a food truck court.

Shopping opportunities ranging from premium pet food to “fantastic” pet accessories. There will also be a low cost vaccine clinic, and free rabies shots available, thanks to TAG’s, as well as free micro-chipping thanks to “The Lucy Pet Foundation.”

The event will also have LA County license renewals available and a “huge super raffle.”

Leashed, well-behaved dogs, all breeds, are welcome to attend the fair with their owners.
