LANCASTER – The California League announced Tuesday that three Lancaster JetHawks have been named Postseason All-Stars. Garrett Hampson was named the league’s postseason all-star second baseman along with Yonathan Daza and Wes Rogers who occupied two of the league’s three postseason all-star outfielder spots.

Hampson, 22, leads the Cal League in numerous offensive categories in his first full season of professional baseball. The former Long Beach State shortstop ranks atop the circuit with 102 runs scored, is tied for first with 10 triples and ranks second with 48 stolen bases.

As the JetHawks’ primary leadoff hitter since the start of the season, Hampson also leads the league with 487 at-bats. He enters Tuesday hitting .314 with 22 doubles, seven home runs, 62 RBI and a .818 OPS. Hampson, who was also named a mid-season all-star, becomes the first JetHawk since Tony Kemp in 2014 to be named a postseason all-star at second base.

Daza, 23, is on pace to win the Cal League’s batting title, entering today’s action with a .341 batting average. The native of Venezuela is tied for first in the league with 10 triples and ranks fifth with 30 doubles. Daza also leads the league with 159 hits and has recorded 51 multi-hit games in 113 total games this season.

Rogers, 23, was recognized for his franchise record-breaking season on the base paths. The Greenville, S.C. native and mid-season all-star leads the Cal League with 63 stolen bases in 74 attempts. His stolen base total set a new Lancaster franchise record, eclipsing former big league Emilio Bonifacio’s 61 steal season in 2006.

At the plate Rogers is hitting .309 with nine home runs and 71 RBI. He leads the JetHawks and ranks third in the league with an. 849 OPS. He also leads the club and ranks third in the league with 31 doubles.

Daza and Rogers’ postseason all-star honors mark the sixth-straight season the JetHawks have had an outfielder on the postseason all-star team. They join outfielders George Springer (2012), Andrew Aplin (2013), Teoscar Hernandez (2014), Brett Phillips (2015) and Ramon Laureano (2016).

The JetHawks finished tied with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and San Jose Giants with three postseason all-star selections.
