The city of Santa Clarita’s Thursdays@Newhall series heads into July with a thrilling lineup of Pacific Island Dance, free live performances, a Corvette car show, a Margaritaville block party and more.
On July 7, JAM Sessions hosted by the Ford Theatre Foundation, will star the Members of the Kalakeke Pacific Island Dance Company, as they teach residents the fast paced dance moves of Ori Tahiti from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Residents can practice the newly learned dance moves with live music played by Jason Arimoto from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. JAM Sessions will take place at the Old Town Newhall Library patio area, located at 24500 Main Street.
Meanwhile on July 7 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., at the Repertory East Playhouse located at 24266 Main Street, ten performers will take the stage for ten minutes each and share their live theatre pieces, dances, monologues or music at 10 by 10.
Performers include The New Mexican, Brandon Burkhart, Vicki Juditz, Tom Renaud, Brian Hoffman, Fawzia Mirza, Raabtune Russell, Darrin Yarbrough, Dave Child and Lang Parker.
From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on July 14, Revved Up, presented by State Farm, takes over Newhall with a fleet of Corvettes on Main Street from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Residents can enjoy a live band, food trucks and adult beverages provided by Persia Lounge.
Local residents interested in submitting an automobile for Revved Up can apply online.
Also on July 14, local singer/songwriters will perform their original work at Note by Note in the Newhall Refinery, located at 24258 Main Street. Performers interested in Note by Note can apply online.
The SENSES block party is back in Old Town Newhall from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on July 21 with Margaritaville. The free event will include food trucks, adult drinks including LandShark lager, fun activities and live music from Mark Wood and the Parrot Head Band. Tropical attire encouraged.
Thursday@Newhall’s July events conclude with the ARTree Speaker Series on July 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Old Town Newhall library.
Meanwhile on July 28, the SCTV presents the OutWest Concert Series will feature the country music of Jerry Hall and Trick Shot beginning at 8 p.m. at the Repertory East Playhouse. Tickets are available here.
