If you want to know more about how the third largest city in Los Angeles County is succeeding and planning for the future, don’t miss the City of Santa Clarita’s annual State of the City luncheon on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 11:30 a.m. at the Hyatt Valencia. Tickets for the “Fit for the Future” themed event are still available for purchase at Santa-Clarita.com.
Residents, business owners, and community leaders are invited to join the Santa Clarita City Council for a “behind the scenes look” at the City’s current projects and priorities, how funds are being spent, and the types of programs and projects being planned for the future of Santa Clarita.
The “Fit for the Future” themed afternoon will provide updates on the infrastructure projects, the budget, public safety, traffic improvements, successes and priorities in building Santa Clarita’s local economy, the Santa Clarita Public Library, the Open Space Preservation District, balancing City-wide beautification during the drought, and much more. The luncheon will also feature a look at projects that will ramp up in the coming months including: public art projects, public transportation, the widening of the Golden Valley Road Bridge, and Phase Four of Central Park.
The cost of the luncheon is $40 per person or $400 for a table of 10, and includes a commemorative gift. The event is open to the public with advanced reservations.
