WOMEN
The Master’s University women’s cross country team earned a second-place finish at the Titan Invitational in Fullerton on Friday after clocking a collective team time of 1:32:29.78.
Leading the way for the 5th-ranked Lady Mustangs was Morgan Pedrick who placed sixth overall in the 5k with a final time of 17:55.0.
Close behind was Abigail Frankian who finished in eight-place at 17:59.9.
TMU’s Rachael Ingoldsby finished Friday’s 5k in 17th place by earning an impressive time of 18:45.0, while Rachel Rush finished in 18th place at 18:48.2.
Emma Bahr (24) earned a final time of 19:01.9, while Mikala Fairchild (27) followed at 19:15.4.
Finally, Ariana Sciarra (41) clocked a final time of 19:59.8, while Rylee Bishop (43) finished things off by running the 5k in 20:13.6.
The Lady Mustangs now look to November fifth when they will compete at the 2016 GSAC Championships, hosted by William Jessup University, in Rocklin.
MEN
The Master’s University men’s cross country team earned a second-place finish at the Titan Invitational after clocking a collective team time of 2:07:14.54.
Leading the way for the 11th-ranked Mustangs was Andrew Orona who placed ninth overall in the 8k with a final time of 25:11.82.
Close behind Orona was the duo of Stephen Pacheco and Joshua Sherfey. Pacheco placed 15th at 25:21.78, while Sherfey earned a time of 25:27.92 and a 17th-place finish.
TMU newcomer Alec Franco finished 23rd overall at 25:32.55, Michael Sciarra (28) clocked a final time of 25:40.47, and Richard Buckelew (29) finished at 25:43.02.
Skyler Mikesell (47) earned a final time of 26:10.83, Joshua Nunez (67) finished the 8k in 26:46.34, while Tim Gutierrez (68) was close behind at 26:48.97.
Finally, Andrew Dolan (93) ended with a final time of 27:44.98, and Gareth Matson (101) capped things off by running the event in 28:24.43.
Now, the Mustangs will compete at the 2016 GSAC Championships hosted by William Jessup University on November fifth in Rocklin. Notably, TMU looks to secure its seventh-straight conference title.
