A sold-out crowd is expected to gather in the Grand Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Hotel this Friday evening, Nov. 4, for the annual Tribute to Women dinner sponsored by Zonta Club of the Santa Clarita Valley. This year’s honoree is Dr. Dianne Van Hook, leader and Chief Executive Officer of the Santa Clarita Community College District.

Zonta has removed all individual tickets and table sponsorships from its website in view of the sold-out status of the event.

Zonta’s annual Tribute to Women is the local club’s main fundraiser each year and helps to support such local programs as Girls’ Robotics, Court Advocacy for domestic violence victims, LifeForward workshops, the annual Women in Service program, and a number of scholarships and fellowships for outstanding women. The local club also supports programs around the world that enrich the lives of women, through Zonta International.

The evening will include hors d’oeuvres, dinner, a live and silent auction and the tribute itself. Zonta is proud to honor Dr. Dianne Van Hook for an unprecedented second time. As the youngest individual ever to become a California Community College CEO, she was first honored by Zonta in 1995 for her achievements. Two decades later, she is now the longest serving community college CEO in California, and this year’s Tribute will celebrate her outstanding contributions to Zonta International’s driving force of service for women in need.
