SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – With the hopes of minting another winning season, The Master’s College baseball team bolsters its pitching staff with the addition of Castaic, California native Eric Williams.
“I chose The Master’s College because I’ve known the head coach and his son for a long time,” commented Williams. “I’m well aware that the program is outstanding and looks to help its players get better.”
The 6-4 right-handed pitcher crafted his athletic resume at West Ranch High School where he earned junior varsity MVP honors and later lettered in baseball at the end of his prep career.
Looking forward to his time as a Mustang, Williams aims to, “…become a starting pitcher and throw above 90 MPH.”
When not competing, Williams looks to major in Kinesiology & Physical Education for a desired career as a physical therapist.
Commenting on Williams’ signing, TMC baseball head coach Monte Brooks stated, “Eric is a big, physically-talented versatile player. As a right-handed pitcher who has progressed each year of his high school career, I am confident that he will give us depth in the outfield and on the mound with a strong arm, good speed, and the ability to be a great hitter at the plate.”
Last season, the Mustangs went 42-14 overall, and 33-9 in the Golden State Athletic Conference with a first-place finish. While the team graduates seven seniors, a number of new quality recruits are coming in to replenish the roster and continue the team’s legacy of success.
