The man who was dubbed the “Whitewashed Bandit” after allegedly robbing a series of banks in Orange County and Valencia has been arrested.
According to a tweet sent out by FBI Los Angeles Bureau, 35-year-old Brian Lee Bellman, of Bakersfield, was arrested by Orange County Sheriff’s officials.
Bellman is suspected in five robberies, the tweet said.
According to an earlier tweet from FBI Los Angeles, the man robbed two Orange County banks and one in Valencia on Feb. 10.
The robbery in Valencia occurred at 11:33 a.m. at the U.S. Bank located in the 28300 block of Newhall Ranch Road in Valencia, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Public Information Officer Shirley Miller, in an email.
The suspect entered the bank and handed the bank teller a threatening note, demanding money.
