The County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation presents its upcoming William S. Hart Regional Park Spring Events Calendar.
The Spring Events kick-off with “Music in the Park #1” on May 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The theme is “Cruise Control at Hart,” and car clubs and associations are invited to “cruise-in” to the park. Music, by request, played by DJ Al, with classic country, 50’s and 60’s oldies. The event will happen in the picnic area of the park and admission is free.
On May 18 and 19 is the “Artisan Row Home Arts & Crafts Show” from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Attendees will experience a home arts and crafts boutique, showcasing handmade toys, fashion accessories, fabrics, bed and bath items, three-dimensional craftworks, and a fine arts gallery with photography, paintings, and print works. The show will happen in Hart Hall and it is free admission.
“Music in the Park #2” will be on June 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Music, by request, will be played by DJ Al, with classic country and 50’s and 60’s oldies, all happening in the picnic area. This event is free.
On June 8 and 9, the Santa Clarita Valley Quilt Guild presents “Quilts and Fabric Arts Exhibition” from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. SCV Quilt Guild will present an exhibition of large and small quilts–wearables, tuffets, and the like. There will be specialty and charity quilts on display, plus an assortment of fabric creations utilizing applique, pierced, sewing, and long arm quilts. This event will have lots of entertainment, sewing demonstrations, and a merchants fair. There is a $5 suggested donation for admission.
