On August 22, Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital will celebrate its 40th Anniversary with a Gala, showcasing the hospital’s growth from 1975 to the present.
The Gala committee is led by co-chairs Cheri Fleming of Valencia Acura and Mitzi Like of LBW Insurance and Financial Services. Co-chair Cheri Fleming and committee members Cindy Peterson, Henry Mayo’s Vice President/CIO; Robert Benjamin, President, Western Airparts Corporation; and Elizabeth Hopp, Vice President, Bank of Santa Clarita, have each made the first sponsor commitments for this remarkable evening at the Hyatt Regency Valencia. The event committee is proud and honored to welcome Dallas Raines, a member of the ABC7 Eyewitness News team and his wife, Dannie, who are on tap as the event’s celebrity hosts.
“With the hospital celebrating its 40th Anniversary, we are pleased that a capital campaign initiative for the new patient tower will coincide with this meaningful date,” said Diana Vose, President, Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation.
Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital has grown alongside the Santa Clarita Valley Community to provide world-class healthcare to its residents. The hospital opened in 1975 with 100 beds, including an ICU and coronary units. Today, Henry Mayo is a 238-bed, not-for-profit community hospital and trauma center offering a wide range of patient services, including emergency, intensive care, maternity, breast imaging, surgery, nursing, wound care, stroke, behavioral health, and acute rehabilitation, as well as cancer, cardiology, imaging, lab, digestive, respiratory services and physical and occupational therapies.
Recent additions to Henry Mayo’s campus, located on McBean Parkway in Valencia, include the Henry Mayo Center, Education Center and Simulation Lab, the Kim and Steven Ullman Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Roberta G. Veloz Cardiac Catheterization Lab, expanded Emergency Department, Wayne and Connie Spears Intensive Care Unit, Akbar Hasan Infusion Center, and a parking structure and helipad. An additional parking structure is slated to open in 2015 and construction will begin on a six-story patient tower which will provide an additional 118 beds for the care of patients. All of the rooms will be private. The tower roof will serve as the hospital’s permanent helipad with direct access to the Emergency Department. Past, present and future will be chronicled through displays at the 40th Gala Event. Come help us celebrate and show your support of Henry Mayo and its vital role in the SCV.
Sponsorships range from Dinner Table Sponsors at $1,500 to Ruby Sponsors at $40,000 which includes extraordinary benefits – such as special recognition, preferred seating, sponsor gift, and the opportunity to dedicate an area of Henry Mayo’s new patient tower.
