Family and friends filled the governing board room Wednesday to honor 38 employees retiring from the Hart School District.
Nineteen classified and 19 certificated retirees logged more than 500 years of combined service to the district.
“We would like to congratulate all the Hart District certificated and classified retirees who have provided years of dedicated service to the Hart District,” said Dr. Michael Vierra, Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources. “Their hard work and invaluable contributions throughout the years have been essential to the extraordinary education that the Hart District provides to our students. We thank them for their dedicated service and we wish them all the best in retirement.”
The 19 teachers honored were: Louise Davies, Larry Dubin, Sara Ehrman, Ron Hilton, Janis Holt, Nels Jacobson, Steven F. Jacobson, Alice Knebel, Kathy Kniest, Thomas Messina, David Moeller, Priscilla Nielsen, Mike Nugent, Michael Pepo, Robert Schulte, Carol Steele, Linda Storli, Laurie Van Shura and Bob Vincent.
The 19 classified employees honored were: Cynthia Arance, Dorothy Belli, Ren’ee Bettencourt, Peggy Bleiler, Debbie Brooks, Anne Brunton, Carol Goodman, Josephine Grine, Donna Hettema, Carol Johnson, Lorraine King, Yolanda Medina, Wendy Picone, Fran Powanda, Karen Rupert, Patty Russell, Shelly Sandoval, Barbara Schiern and Terri Renison Shiner.
