On Friday, Oct. 13, fans can meet this year’s California State University, Northridge Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams at Matador Madness presented by Geico.

The annual season tip-off event is free for all attendees and will feature a women’s basketball skills challenge, a men’s basketball dunk showcase and several contests and other events for attendees, as well as a pre-event plaza party.

The first 500 students at the Matador Madness pre-event Fan Fare will receive free food courtesy of CSUN Dining, and the first 500 attendees will receive Matador Madness T-shirts. During the event, attendees can participate in contests to win prizes including two CSUN parking permits (CSUN students only), two gas gift cards from University 76 and two $50 Visa gift cards. DJ Malski will host Matador Madness.

Miscellaneous:
The CSUN Men’s Basketball season tips off on Friday, November 10 at 7:30 p.m. when the Matadors take on Life Pacific. The Women’s Basketball Team tips off its season on Saturday, Oct. 28 with an exhibition against The Master’s University at 3:00 p.m. The team’s first regular season home game will be against Idaho during the Warner Center Marriott Thanksgiving Basketball Classic.

General admission to all CSUN home games is free for CSUN students with a valid student ID (while supplies last). For more ticket information, contact the A.S. Ticket Office at (818) 677-2488.
