[KHTS] – Assemblyman Scott Wilk, R-Santa Clarita, announced new staff changes in his local office Friday.

Senior Field Representative Erik Richardson will be succeeded by Patsy Ayala.

Scott Wilk Announces Staff Changes As Senior Field Rep Moves OnRichardson accepted a position as hospital account liaison for Apria Healthcare. His territory will include Oxnard and Santa Barbara.

Richardson is a California State University Northridge graduate with a degree in Political Science and Santa Clarita native.

He was first hired by Wilk in March 2013.

“Erik has been a great member of our team,” Wilk said. “We are sad to see him go, but excited for his new journey and I wish him the best.”

The new field representative, Patsy Ayala, is a leader in the Santa Clarita Valley Latino community and a board member of the SCV Latino Chamber of Commerce.

Ayala also manages Our Valleys Magazine, the first bilingual publication in the SCV, which she founded in 2009.

As a member of Wilk’s office, Ayala will be doing local media outreach.

“Patsy is very talented and is an outstanding member of the community,” Wilk said. “I’m looking forward to having her join our district office.”

Field Representative Kris Hough has also been promoted and will now serve as district director for Assemblyman Wilk.

Wilk’s 38th Assembly District encompasses Simi Valley, the northern section of the San Fernando Valley and most of the Santa Clarita Valley.
