The winter holiday anti-DUI crackdown has resulted in a significant number of DUI arrests from local routine traffic enforcement and special Avoid the 100 DUI deployments during the past several days in Los Angeles County.
From 12:01 AM Friday December 14, 2012 through Midnight Saturday December 29, 2012 officers representing 100 county law enforcement agencies have arrested 1,773 individuals for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In 2011, 2,205 DUI arrests occurred during the same sixteen day time period. (Some agencies have not yet reported.)
For the final two nights of the campaign, the following DUI activities will be conducted by Los Angeles County law enforcement agencies:

DUI Patrol – Avoid the 100 (West) Multi-Agency (Including the cities of Gardena, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Torrance, Manhattan Beach, El Camino College, El Segundo, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes Estates, UCLA PD, Huntington Park, Long Beach, Signal Hill and Vernon)
Monday, December 31
DUI Checkpoint – Santa Monica
DUI Patrol – Avoid the 100 (West) Multi-Agency (Including the cities of Gardena, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Torrance, Manhattan Beach, El Camino College, El Segundo, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes Estates, UCLA PD, Huntington Park, Long Beach, Signal Hill and Vernon)
DUI Patrol – Long Beach
DUI Patrol – Pomona
DUI Patrol – CHP South Los Angeles Area
DUI Patrol – CHP West Valley Area
DUI Patrol – LASD West Hollywood
CHP will be deploying all available officers for their Maximum Enforcement Period during the New Year’s holiday weekend through midnight Tuesday, January 1st. All regularly scheduled traffic and patrol officers will focus efforts at stopping and arresting DUI drivers during their normal shifts.
Police, Sheriff and the CHP encourage all motorists to help make your community safer: Report Drunk Drivers – Call 911! Funding for this program is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. DUI arrest data collection will continue through New Year’s Weekend, midnight Sunday, Jan. 1.

The Winter Holiday Anti-DUI crackdown has resulted in a significant number of DUI arrests from local routine traffic enforcement and special DUI deployments during the past several days in Los Angeles County.
From 12:01 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, through midnight Thursday, Dec. 27, officers representing 100 county law enforcement agencies have arrested 1,480 individuals for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In 2011, 1,849 DUI arrests occurred during the same 14-day time period. (Note: These numbers are only provisional, with some agencies yet to report.)
For New Year’s Eve holiday weekend and the final five days of the campaign, DUI saturation patrols, DUI checkpoints and other DUI details will be deploying throughout L.A. County ending the 19-day campaign. The CHP will be deploying all available officers for their Maximum Enforcement Period during the New Year’s holiday weekend beginning tonight (Dec. 29) at 6 p.m. until midnight Tuesday, Jan. 1.
All regularly scheduled traffic and patrol officers will focus efforts at stopping and arresting DUI drivers during their normal shifts.
