Flair Cleaners, Southern California’s leading eco-friendly dry cleaners, will host its fourth annual Flair Cares Food Drive – Hang Up Hunger – Feb. 11 – 28.
The drive benefits local food pantries that are facing a significantly higher demand due to recent fires and the government shutdown. Flair will make a matching contribution of up to 1,000 pounds of food donated by customers at each of its locations. In appreciation for their support, every customer who donates will receive a coupon for 50% off dry cleaning on a future visit.
“2019 has been a challenging year for our local communities and food banks. Many of our neighbors are facing challenges they never expected, and they need our help,” said Gary Fut-terman, owner of Flair Cleaners. “As a family-owned business, we know how important it is to help our neighbors and we are committed to doing all we can to make a difference.”
Flair customers and community members may bring unopened, non-perishable commercially prepared, canned or boxed food to Flair Cleaners in Valencia located at 27011 McBean Park-way, at Magic Mountain Parkway. Food items that have passed their expiration dates or items in glass jars cannot be accepted. For a complete list of recommended food items, visit Flair Cleaners’ Facebook page.
Donations will be delivered by Flair Cleaners to the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry, which strives to alleviate hunger throughout the Santa Clarita Valley. Their dynamic group of volun-teers sources donations, packages nutritious food to stretch a family’s food supply, and distrib-utes that food to qualifying residents of the Santa Clarita Valley.
About Flair Cleaners
With a reputation built on innovation and customer service, Flair has been your Southern Cali-fornia dry cleaner for more than 50 years. And, while times and fashion may have changed, one thing has not: Flair’s commitment to help customers look their best. Flair’s commitment to im-peccable quality and customer service began when the Futterman and Singer families first opened a dry cleaning business in Chicago in 1958. Their tradition of excellence continued when the families’ first Southern California cleaners opened in 1963. Today, Flair Cleaners has five Southern California locations – Burbank, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica, Studio City and Valencia. Flair was one of the first cleaners in Southern California to adopt the GreenEarth dry cleaning process, the industry’s premier all-natural cleaning method. Its state-of-the-art, highly efficient equipment conserves resources and safely cleans garments and household items.
