The Brittany Foundation has invited the community to participate in a fundraiser to benefit a miniature pinscher that has some serious health problems but a big personality.
Lilly, a 3-year-old min-pin, has two bad knees and needs surgery that will cost upwards of $1,800 per knee.
“Lilly is very playful, loves squeaky toys, and is quite the character,” said Nancy Anderson, founder of the Brittany Foundation. “We really need this surgery for her.”
The dog’s knees pop and snap when she is active and after a stagnant status, a doctor recommended forced walks to help Lilly get back in motion.
After her condition worsened, a second doctor confirmed the need for surgery, one knee at a time, according to Anderson.
The fundraiser will be held at the Santa Monica Airport Antique Mart on June 28 and will also include an online fundraiser for those unable to make it to the event.
According to Anderson, Lilly will also be available for adoption after she makes a full recovery.
If you would like to participate the fundraiser and or donate directly to help Lilly live a painless life, contact The Brittany Foundation at (661) 713-5240 or visit www.brittanyfoundationonline.org
