Update Wednesday, 8:30 a.m.:
About 223 Santa Clarita residents are still without power, according to Southern California Edison.
Power is expected to be fully restored by 2 p.m. Wednesday.
More than 1,000 Edison customers in the Santa Clarita Valley were still in the dark Tuesday night after an outage hit parts of Saugus earlier in the evening.
Approximately 2,107 SoCal Edison customers lost power at 7:18 p.m., said company spokeswoman Susan Cox.
The outage was attribued to equipment failure.
As of 10:30 p.m., approximately 725 SoCal Edison customers had their power restored, while 1,382 customers were still powerless.
Cox said the affected area was bounded by Decoro Drive on the north, Seco Canyon Road on the south, Newhall Ranch Road on the east and Vista Rosina Drive on the west.
Edison customers in Canyon Country were reporting intermitted power troubles.
All connections should be back up and running by Wednesday at 5 a.m., according to Edison.
