The 2nd Annual Smokey Robinson Invitational Golf Tournament is making its way to town this June to benefit The Midnight Mission.
On Monday, June 1, Smokey Robinson, Johnny Mathis, Louis Price and other celebrity guests will be on hand to enjoy a day of golf at Valencia Country Club.
The event aims to raise funds in support of The Midnight Mission’s programs, which help the homeless.
Beginning at 8 a.m., the red carpet event will offer a golf clinic conducted by PGA golf pro Roger Gunn, a putting contest, a silent auction and concert with Smokey Robinson & Friends.
Food will also be available all day, ending with an awards dinner at 5 p.m.
To more information about the event contact Andrea Bessey at 213-553-2328 or email her at abessey@midnightmission.org.
About The Midnight Mission:
Founded in 1914, The Midnight Mission offers a path to self- sufficiency to men, women and children who have lost everything. Our emergency services, 12-step philosophy, job training, education and work programs offer a compassionate bridge to productive lives. In addition, we have a Family Living Facility, which is located in a residential setting and provides families with childcare, advocacy, parenting classes, tutoring programs and fiscal management. Through our services, we help remove obstacles to self-sufficiency and provide the accountability and structure that people who are experiencing homelessness need to rejoin their communities. Our conviction and commitment to their success define us. For additional information, please visit www.midnightmission.org.
