[KHTS] – Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Crime Prevention Unit arrested two men Thursday, including a registered sex offender, during probation-parole checks in the Canyon Countryarea of Santa Clarita.
Timothy Robert Goebel, 59, of Canyon Country, was arrested at 26724 Isabella Parkway in Canyon Country.
He is a registered sex offender on the Megan’s Law website, convicted of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age.
He’s listed on a KHTS AM-1220 Google Map listing all of the Santa Clarita Valley’s registered sex offenders.
He was arrested for possession of concentrated cannibus, a felony charge, according to Sheriff’s Station reports.
Justin Cookson, 30, of Canyon Country, was also arrested during Thursday’s parole checks.
He was contacted by Sheriff’s Station deputies at the 19800 block of Emmett Road.
“Deputies went there to do a probation search and found narcotics paraphernalia,” said Deputy Josh Dubin of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The suspect was also a suspect in a burglary at Walmart on The Old Road. He was arrested for possession of narcotics paraphernalia and a burglary charge.
Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies with the Crime Prevention Unit regularly conduct parole checks throught the Santa Clarita Valley on registered addresses.
In March, the checks led to deputies busting up a marijuana grow.

On second thought, Eric Baker, that wouldn’t be fair to the Pacific Ocean. Think about the extra pollution this would create.
Not one of you actually read the article did ya because if you did you would have read that he got arrested for possession of medical marijuana in the form of concentrated hashish so once again you guys start a witch hunt for no purpose other than propagating you’re incredibly arrogant and ignorant perception of your environment

Don’t get me wrong, I feel that sex offenders, specially ones that offend against children should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. now if you disagree with the laws that we have on the books then maybe you should campaign to change them but to go out of your way to shame a person who is already on a shame list is just picking on the weaker group;( because picking on him for his pot smoking apparently is becoming more taboo) Sheople are Sheople
