vine2wine2013Circle of Hope, a local support network that assists uninsured and underinsured breast cancer patients, is holding its 12th annual Vine 2 Wine Classic fundraiser on Saturday, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the California Institute of the Arts on McBean Parkway.

The event, sponsored in part by SCVTV and KTHS AM-1220, will feature more than 50 wineries, including rare and older wines and “library wines” from personal cellars.

Included with the price of admission is unlimited tasting at all the wine tables and the beer garden, and a buffet dinner provided by Salt Creek Grille, Hidden Havana Cuban Cafe and other restaurants.

Jimmy Carnelli and his band will provide live entertainment for the evening.

A number of silent auction items, including expensive and rare wines and older vintages will be available.

vine2wineTickets for the event are $75 in advance and $95 at the door.

Guests will also have the opportunity, for $100 contribution to Circle of Hope, to sample a rare 1853 Withwam’s “King Pedro V Millennium” Reserve Port. The tasting is available by reservation only to the first 30 who sign up.

About Circle of Hope

Circle of Hope Inc. has assisted uninsured and underinsured breast cancer patients, their families and the Santa Clarita Valley with financial, emotional and educational support services since 2004. They are devoted to helping local individuals in our community–clients must live, work or receive treatment in Santa Clarita Valley.

Circle of Hope offers emotional support in the form of its Breast Cancer Support Group. Meetings are held monthly at the Circle of Hope office. The support group is free and open to all breast cancer patients and survivors.

Team Pink is a cancer awareness and community outreach program developed by Circle of Hope. Acting as the educational support branch of the organization, Team Pink promotes healthy eating, exercising, balancing stress and maintaining a healthy weight. These behavior choices are associated with cancer risk reduction and early detection.
