[KHTS] – A Valencia man has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash that occurred on the westbound I-210 transition road to the northbound I-5 Monday afternoon.

At approximately 4:05 p.m., 47-year-old Pablo E. Gratas’s 2002 Toyota Camry collided into the guardrail that borders the north side of the road for an unknown reason, according to a news release from the California Highway Patrol.

His car then went down a dirt embankment before colliding into a big rig that was traveling on the transition road.

Gratas suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on scene by Los Angeles City Fire Department personnel.

Alcohol or drugs are not suspected to be a factor in this collision.

A Sig Alert was issued for all lanes of the westbound I-210 to the northbound I-5 transition road shortly after 4:31 p.m.
on Monday due to the collision. The Sig Alert was cancelled at approximately 9:40 p.m. and all lanes were reopened.
