The Santa Clarita Artists Association will host its general meeting at the Old Town Newhall Library Community Room on Monday, March 16, 6-7:30 p.m.
The meeting, which is free to attend for the public, will feature back by popular demand, photographer and jewelry artist Carol Roullard.
The Old Town Newhall Library Community Room is located at 24500 Main St., Newhall, CA 91321.
Discover an unseen world of color, texture, and form when photographer and jewelry artist Carol Roullard returns as a featured presenter. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the meeting is free and open to the public—members and guests are encouraged to come early, mingle with fellow artists and grab a good seat.

Fire and Ice
Roullard is internationally recognized for her micro-crystal fine art photography, created by crystallizing chemicals, then photographing the vibrant abstract landscapes she discovers through a highpowered microscope under polarized light.
Her images often echo seascapes, skies and distant terrains, inviting viewers to make their own connections between the microscopic and the cosmic. She has expanded this practice into a line of jewelry and accessories, transforming tiny crystal scenes into wearable art—each pendant and pair of earrings features a unique image of actual crystals, not repeated prints.
At our March meeting, Carol will share the artistic journey that led her from a career in technology to a fulltime life in art, including co-authoring photography books and exhibiting her work in galleries and magazines.
Expect a visually rich presentation in which she reveals how she selects and grows crystals, builds her images at the microscope, and then translates them into finished prints and jewelry pieces. Members who enjoyed her earlier SCAA demonstration know she is generous with practical insights and creative “secrets,” making complex techniques feel approachable, whether you are a photographer, painter, jeweler or simply curious about new ways of seeing.
Join us on March 16 for an evening of inspiration, conversation and community and leave with fresh ideas for your own art, plus a new appreciation for the extraordinary beauty hidden in the smallest of crystals.
She has sold and exhibited nationally and internationally on multiple mediums. Her website is www.CarolRoullardArt.com.
