[KHTS] – Taste of the Town, the Child and Family Center’s signature annual fundraiser, will be held on Sunday, May 4 from 1-5 p.m. along Mann Biomedical Park’s beautiful garden setting in Valencia.
A celebration of food, spirits, and philanthropy, the event features delectable edibles from 40-plus outstanding local restaurants, caterers, and wine and beer purveyors. The palate-pleasing adults-only party – expected to draw 2,000 attendees – will feature live musical entertainment by renowned recording keyboardist, composer/arranger and musical director, Mark LeVang.
There will be live and silent auctions offering everything from trips to TV talk show tickets, along with the Diamond Drop event, which is expected to provide the winner with a 1-carat diamond.
Proceeds from the bacchanalian event, which last year raised $223,000, help the center provide vital mental health, behavioral, and education services to children, adults and families.
Co-chaired by longtime SCV educators Joyce Carson and Sandra Smith, Taste of the Town’s prestigious sponsor list includes: Bank of Santa Clarita, Whitening Lighting, The Magazine of Santa Clarita/Elite Magazine, Classic Designs Jewelry, Mann Biomedical Park, The Signal Newspaper, KHTS AM-1220, Habitat for Humanity, Shepard Insurance Company, Wolf Creek Restaurant &Brewing Co., Santa Clarita Studios, Salon 7, CBRE Richard Ellis, and the City of Santa Clarita. Sponsorships, which benefit from extensive pre-event media coverage, event-day recognition, signage and advertising, are still available.
Diamond Drop tickets, priced at $25 each, include a glass of champagne and are available through the Child and Family Center. Sponsored by Classic Designs Jewelry, the diamond’s winner need not be present at event.
General admission to the event is $75, with ticket prices including food and drink. Reserved seating with an umbrella is available for $100 and may only be purchased in advance.
Please contact the Child and Family Center’s office for ticketing and further information at (661) 255-6847 ext. 3166.
